January

  • Jan. 24: Fauci – Special campus screening of Fauci. A rare glimpse into the life of the ultimate public servant, Fauci is a revealing portrait of a career bookended by two pandemics. Presented in partnership with the College of Health and Human Performance. 6 PM in the Black Box Theatre
  • Jan. 26: Coffee House begins for the semester – 6 PM in the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center

February

  • Feb. 7: Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day: Presented in partnership with the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center – 11 AM-2PM in the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center
  • Feb 7: Game Face – This documentary tells the parallel story of Fallon Fox, the first female transgender pro MMA fighter, and Terrence Clemens, a college basketball player in Oklahoma who happens to be gay. The film follows both athletes during their coming out process and sheds light on the obstacles LGBTQ sports players deal with throughout their careers. – 6PM in the Black Box Theater
  • Feb. 14: Love is Love: A Vision of Love for All  10AM-2PM in the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center
  • Feb. 24: Jazz and Friends National Day of School and Community Readings – Presented in support of our transgender and nonbinary youth – 4:30PM in the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center

March

  • March 17: Beyond the Binary – A panel discussion exploring gender diversity and celebrating the lives of those who live beyond the binary – 6PM in the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center
  • March 21: Nasrin – Filmed in Iran by women and men who risked arrest to make this film, this documentary is an immersive portrait of one of the world’s most courageous human rights activists and political prisoners, Nasrin Sotoudeh. In the courts and on the streets, Nasrin has long fought for the rights of women, children, LGBT prisoners, religious minorities, journalists, artists and those facing the death penalty. Presented in partnership with the Women and Gender Office in celebration of Women’s History Month. 6PM in the Black Box Theater
  • March 31: Trans Day of Visibility Luncheon – Noon in the Main Campus Student Center, Room 249

April

  • April 11: Who’s on Top – Narrated by George Takei, this documentary shines a spotlight on members of the LGBTQ community – including those with a range of mountaineering experience – who challenge stereotypes about gender and sexuality in the outdoor arena. 6PM in the Black Box Theater
  • April 26: Lesbian Visibility Day Luncheon – Noon in the Main Campus Student Center, Room 249
  • April 27: Stress Relief Study Break – 11AM-2PM in the Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center

  • May 5: Lavender Launch 2022 – a celebration of our LGBTQ and ally graduates – 5:30PM in the Black Box Theater
