REU in Biomedical Engineering: Simulations, Imaging and Modeling

The Departments of Engineering, Kinesiology, and Physical Therapy at East Carolina University will conduct a 10-week summer research program (May 21-July 30) funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Ten participants will work with support from faculty mentors on individual projects focused on the improvement of simulations and computational models across all disciplines of biomedical engineering while building research experience and skills.

Qualifications:

  • US citizen or permanent resident
  • Major in engineering, basic sciences, math, computer science or related disciplines
  • Strong academic background

Beginning February 15th, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

Rising juniors and seniors, women, persons of color, persons with disabilities, and students from academic institutions with limited research opportunities are especially encouraged to apply.
