PKP Graduate Fellowship Competition - Due March 15

The East Carolina Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi national honor society is pleased to invite applications for the 2022 Graduate Fellowship Competition. These funds can be used to support first-year graduate or professional study at an accredited university in the U.S.

The ECU chapter of Phi Kappa Phi selects one winner who receives $1500 from the chapter. That person’s materials are then sent forward to the national competition. The national society awards 50 fellowships of $8,500 each 6 of $20,000 and 2 of $35,000.

Eligibility

Applicants must be active (dues paid) members of Phi Kappa Phi or invited for membership in the current year. They must also have applied to graduate or professional school for the 2022-2023 year. Students who have successfully completed 10 or more graduate credits on or before April 15, 2021, are not eligible.

Application process and deadline

The deadline for submission to the ECU chapter is Monday, March 14, 2022 by 5 p.m. Packets should be submitted to Dr. Tarek Abdel-Salam, College of Engineering and Technology, 107A Sci-Tech Building.

Application forms and additional information are available from the PKP website at www.PhiKappaPhi.org/Fellowship. Applicants should complete the form online and print it out, submit one copy along with the required supporting documents (test scores, writing sample, transcripts and letters of recommendation).

A committee of faculty members from different disciplines will review the applications and select a winner who will be notified by March 25, 2022. The winner will be recognized at the annual PKP initiation ceremony. The chapter winner’s documents will then be sent to the national competition.
