Students needed for research projects - agricultural/farmworker safety & health

For a Health Resources and Services Administration/NC Farmworker Health Program grant received in a collaboration between NC Agromedicine Institute, Laupus Library, NCSU, and the College of Health and Human Performance’s Department of Health Education and Promotion, we would appreciate your help finding students interested in a paid, mentored research experience. The purpose of this project is to strengthen the workforce in farmworker health and safety.

As part of this grant, we are seeking four undergraduate students to join research projects in NC Agromedicine Institute and ECU’s College of Health and Human Performance. There is a preference for students with experience in farmwork, from a farming family, from a family with experience with migrant or seasonal farmwork, or with equivalent interest or experience.

The project will take place this fall and spring, and it is paid ($15 per hr. x 10 hrs. per week). A laptop and professional development are included.

To apply, ECU students should reach out to sesaym21@ecu.edu with a resume or questions.
