Kristen joined the Honors College in April 2019 as a public communications specialist. Prior to this role, Kristen worked for Cooke Communications/Adams Publishing Group as a member of the copy desk, where she worked on several eastern North Carolina newspapers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and English and a master’s degree in strategic communication from East Carolina University. While at ECU for undergrad, Kristen was a member of the Honors College.

Kristen has experience in several areas of the communication field that are useful in her role as public communications specialist for the Honors College and College of Education. She has several years of design experience along with copywriting, photography and social media experience.

In her free time, Kristen enjoys painting, reading, photography and writing. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
