Early Assurance: Audiology

The Early Assurance Program in Audiology is a program that is offered in collaboration with the Honors College and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Allied Health Sciences. This program is intended for prospective high school students or undergraduate students who are interested in obtaining a clinical doctoral degree in the field of audiology once they graduate with an undergraduate degree. This program guarantees your admission to the doctor of audiology (AuD) program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (provided you have satisfied the program requirements). Each year, one or two incoming Honors College freshmen are selected for this program. Current Honors College students can also apply during their second year at ECU.

Early Assurance Scholars in these doctoral programs allow a successful student to immediately begin their doctoral curriculum upon completion of undergraduate studies. Students enrolled in the AuD program complete didactic coursework and a variety of on- and off-campus clinical rotations.
