Kenison Parker
Kenison Parker is a senior majoring in exercise physiology with a concentration in exercise as medicine on the pre-physical therapy track. She currently serves as Vice President of the Pre-PT Club after serving as secretary for the previous year. She also assists with research in the Team-OPPS Lab which is dedicated to optimizing psychology and focuses on how social factors impact personal success in sports, military, and performance settings. She is continuing her research on goalkeeper self-efficacy and communication within this lab. While at ECU, she works as a cryotherapy technician at Youngs Physical Therapy & Sports Performance. She enjoys volunteering her time with Adapted Physical Education helping children with multiple disabilities participate in meaningful physical activity. Over the summer, Kenison plans to volunteer with Dukes in Motion which uses Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy to help children with hemiplegia develop gross and fine motor skills.
