Makers 2021

The Makers Honors Arts Residency is a year-long paid residency that gives Honors students from all majors the opportunity to make visual artwork and act as Honors College arts ambassadors.

The 2020-21 theme is a meditation on the experience of “time.” How do we experience time? What are the implications of time on a person, object, place, idea, etc. Is time something to be chronicled and remembered or experienced and forgotten? Does everyone experience time the same way? What does time look like to one, to many?

Our Makers this year were Benjamin Coil, Hannah Umphlett and Ysabella Villacorte. We have also included the work of one of our 2020 Makers, Jessica Schulte. The 2019-20 theme was “Growth.” Explore their artwork and their artistic process below.
